In case you have not heard, Balaji Bhavan is the newest South Indian, 100% vegetarian restaurant in the Heights. They opened in late 2024 and the verdict is unequivocally in. This place is fantastic, from the food to the ambiance to the staff and back to the delicious food.

Walking into the cozy open dining room on Central Ave. you are hit with the most tantalizing smells from the kitchen. On our visit we walked into a packed, happy room full of families and friends supping up the food, all looked after by the lovely host and staff of servers. The all-vegetarian menu is extensive and a dream come true for anyone who loves Indian flavors. The menu favorites include many variations of dosas, fritters, pancakes, rice dishes, chaaat, masalas and more including a portion of Indo-Chinese specialties. On the sweet side there are plenty of classic Indian desserts as well as refreshing Indian-style milkshakes.

Balaji Bajan is currently open daily and nightly with the exception of being closed on Tuesdays.
