Second New Greek Spot to Open this Month!

Efi’s Gyro, a popular casual Greek restaurant from Montclair, is now in JC! They just opened downtown in the Newport area at the base of a residential building. They serve all sort of delectable Greek foods including customizable rice bowls, homemade savory and sweet pies, platters, Souvlaki (grilled kabobs of the protein of your choosing), salads and sides including their incredibly crispy Greek Fries, seasoned with lemon and oregano. All that and, of course, gyros. What’s extra nice is that along with pork, lamb, chicken and beef gyro, there is a plant-based option with Beyond Meat.

Efi’s is a family-run small business and what is especially impressive is that Efi was 18 years old when, armed with her grandmother’s secret tzatziki recipe, she opened her Montclair business on Bloomfield Ave. in the middle of the pandemic, churning out take-out orders and deliveries to grateful customers. It’s nice to see this young entrepreneur’s talent and hard work rewarded with a second storefront. Welcome to Jersey City, Efi!
