Food Hall Cafe

Congratulations to Chef Susie and her team at Food Hall Café, a new eatery on Monticello Ave that fuses American, Italian and Caribbean cuisines to achieve tasty and comforting results. Open for breakfast and lunch, Food Hall Café has an excellent menu. Where else can you go to enjoy a delicious Penne with Vodka Sauce alongside an authentic Guyanese Curry with Shrimp and Vegetables? Ditto for the yummy rice bowls and the chickpea with roti. Food Hall bakes delicious muffins for breakfast including cranberry (our fave), banana and banana walnut varieties. They also have plenty of pastries and egg sandwiches. Another plus – the food is prepared with organic ingredients, as Chef Susie believes organic food has healing properties. Since opening this year, they have quickly established themselves in the community, hosting book readings and private events as well as offering cooking classes for children. Such a nice addition to all of the lovely local businesses on Monticello!
