The talented trio behind some of JC’s most beloved bars have a new hit on their hands with Legends FCJC. Located downtown on Newark Ave., Legends FCJC is a 2,100-square-foot venue focused on both American and international sports including Premier League soccer, UFC, Rugby, Boxing and Formula 1 racing.

The food and drink menus here go well beyond your basic sports bar grub. Owners Jonathan Castillo, Jeremy Tirpak, and Michael Dorrian—seasoned hands from Grace O’Malley’s Whiskey Chapel, the laid-back Keyhole Bar, and the sports bar Irving Public—know their way around good eats and strong pours.

The menu tips its hat to classic sports fare but kicks things up a notch with “Stadium Bites” like Ahi Tuna Poke Nachos, Butternut Squash Hummus, and hearty Pit Beef Sliders. After those starters, there is a nice range of salads, sandwiches, and flatbreads. As for drinks, we appreciate their very old-fashioned Cocktail List, divided into 2 categories: Cracked and Shaken (Aged Rum Daiquiri, anyone?) and Stirred and Bold (Negronis, Old Fashioneds, etc.). Congrats to this team (and their talented staff) on another crowd-pleasing venue in JC.
