Seafood and Sunsets at Blue Anchor

Just in time for the beautiful September sunsets, Blue Anchor has opened in downtown Newport. This elevated but casual seafood-centric restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Beach Apartment Building. They are serving a Soft Opening menu which includes a raw bar, lobster rolls, pan-seared Branzino, crabcakes, Frutti Di Mare and for Vegetarians there is a mushroom truffle risotto. They also have steak and chicken dishes. There is an intriguing list of handcrafted cocktails including the J.C. Sunset- Don Julio Blanco, Campari, Blood Orange, Agave Nectar, lime and salt.

Blue Anchor’s ownership group pride themselves on delivering “an elevated coastal dining experience” that showcases fresh and locally-sourced ingredients.
