The Best Chicken Parm in JC – It’s Official

Chickie’s for the win! Congratulations to John Gondevas and his awesome team at Chickie’s Italian Restaurant. They are the winners of “Best Chicken Parm in Jersey City” in the recent 2023 Best of Hoboken and Jersey City Awards, courtesy of HobokenGirl. Congratulations, too, on recently hitting the two-year anniversary of opening Chickie’s, further solidifying John and his brother Michael’s reign as leading restauranters in Hamilton Park, with their adjacent Hamilton Inn and Hamilton Pork being consistently popular neighborhood staples. On top of being seasoned restaurant vets, they are two of the nicest guys around. But back to Chickie’s. In addition to the winning parm, they have a great bar with swinging cocktails and a long menu with every Italian-American dish you could possibly want (we particularly like the pizzas). It is a really pretty restaurant and when Spring returns you will find their outdoor seating consistently packed to accompany the indoor dining room. An extra plus – Chickie’s has Happy Hour year-round on Mondays – Fridays from 4pm – 6pm with beer, wine, pizza, spritzes and Dirty Chicks (gin or vodka, shaken and stirred) all under $10. 236 Pavonia Ave., @chickies_jc
